Located directly on Washington Square North, facing Salem Common, the museum is a 3-minute walk from Riley Plaza. Buses approach via Washington Street and drop passengers at the Washington Square North frontage.
There is no bus parking on Washington Square — buses must relocate to Riley Plaza or the Shetland Park lots. Open daily; summer hours 10am–7pm, winter 10am–5pm. Group reservations recommended for parties of 10 or more.
House of the Seven Gables
The House of the Seven Gables (115 Derby Street, Salem, MA 01970; (978) 744-0991) is a National Historic Landmark and the inspiration for Nathaniel Hawthorne's 1851 novel of the same name. The waterfront museum complex includes the 1668 Turner-Ingersoll Mansion, Hawthorne's birthplace, and beautifully landscaped grounds overlooking Salem Harbor. Buses drop at the Derby Street entrance and stage in the Shetland Park lots off Blaney Street, approximately 0.2 miles away.

Salem Witch Trials Memorial
The Salem Witch Trials Memorial (Liberty Street at Charter Street, Salem, MA 01970) is a solemn public memorial dedicated in 1992 to the 20 people executed during the 1692 witch trials, designed by architect James Cutler. Twenty stone benches line the perimeter, each inscribed with a victim's name, date, and method of execution. The memorial is located at the corner of Liberty Street and Charter Street, one block from the Peabody Essex Museum and adjacent to the Old Burying Point Cemetery (Charter Street, Salem's oldest cemetery, dating to 1637).
There is no vehicle access on Liberty Street at the memorial — buses drop at the Washington Street and Charter Street intersection and the group walks one block. Always open during daylight hours; free admission.
Salem Willows Park
Salem Willows Park (171 Fort Avenue, Salem, MA 01970) is a 17-acre public park and seasonal amusement destination on a peninsula in Salem Harbor, offering waterfront picnic areas, the historic Salem Willows Amusement Arcade, and some of the best harbor views in the city. Accessed via Fort Avenue, the park has a large free parking lot with room for charter buses — no permit required outside of special events, and buses can stage in the outer lot while groups enjoy the park. Amusement concessions operate seasonally from May through September.
During the New England Pirate Festival and other large events, the lot fills early — plan to arrive before 9am for bus staging on event days. Free admission to the park; individual attraction fees vary.
North Shore Music Theatre
The North Shore Music Theatre (62 Dunham Road, Beverly, MA 01915; (978) 232-7200) is one of New England's premier regional theaters, operating in the round in an intimate configuration where no seat is far from the stage. Located just 4 miles from downtown Salem in Beverly, NSMT produces Broadway-caliber musicals, concerts, and special events year-round. Charter buses drop at the main entrance on Dunham Road, with oversized vehicle parking available in the outer perimeter of the NSMT lot.
